Euglena Academy's primary teaching space has evolved over time. The goals of this multi-use space are numerous, and as such it has been created with optimal flexibility as part of its design.

Our Eugene campus is housed in a 2500 square foot warehouse in west Eugene that has been redecorated to feel more like a large living room.

We have multiple classroom and community gathering areas, ranging from a small but comfortable teaching area and conference room for 10 to a large 1200 square foot area with 18' ceilings large enough to accommodate dozens, complete with sound system and two large theater screens. The two images immediately below are of our main classroom and community gathering area with theater screens, sound system, and comfortable seating.

The space is suitable for everything from intense intellectual explorations to live or recorded music and dance events - all of which are part of our goal to explore the connections between science, education, art, music and mythology relevant to the emergence of sustainable, 21st century cultures.

We also use the warehouse space as a development area for projects ranging from our new organic garden (that will grow substantially in summer, 2010) to alternative shelter design to alternative transportation projects, all relevant to exploring new modalities for adaptability and sustainability on a challenging 21st century Earth.

Other groups with whom we associate are also invited to use our space for teaching, workshops, and social gatherings.

Our studio space also includes a kitchenette (so that students can bring food to classes, and for use during social events), a wood stove and an exercise area.
